Work Force Management (WFM)

چکیده
Cost Reduction of Telecommunication Network Provisioning Operation and Maintenance is today a strategic issue for Telco operators. Workforce Management (WFM) environments and techniques allow a dramatic cost and performance improvement for the "on the field" technicians management. Basic functionalities offered by the WFM environments are: automated task assignment to workers and mobile office techniques. CSELT has developed a WFM environment to evaluate the cost reduction and performance improvement by using Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research techniques to automatically assign the tasks, Data Transmission techniques based on GSM-SMS (Short Message Service) and Inmarsat-C Satellite communication, geographical localization and representation using GPS (Global Position Satellite) and GIS (Geographical Information System) and Mobile Office techniques. This paper describes: the CSELT WFM environment with particular emphasis with the Automatic Assignment Algorithm and the results obtained during the extensive field trials in two Telecom Italia Control and Operation Centers.

Design decisions in workflow management and quality of work
In this paper, the design and implementation of a workflow management (WFM) system in a large Dutch social insurance organisation is described. The effect of workflow design decisions on the quality of work is explored theoretically and empirically, using the model of Zur Mühlen as a frame of reference. It was found among a total sample of 66 employees that there was no change in the experience...
متن کاملDo users go with the new workflow? from user participation to quality of work during wfm deployment
What determines the involvement of users to ‘go with the new workflow’ in the case of workflow management (WFM) deployment, and how is this related to their perceived quality of work? This key question is addressed in this paper. Customized for our empirical case context – a large Dutch social insurance organization that recently deployed a WFM system – we developed a conceptual model based on ...
متن کاملDevelopment of a DEMO based workflow management system
Workflow management (WFM) systems are software systems that support the enactment and management of operational business processes. Most WFM systems use an activity-based modeling methodology, which ignores the difference between coordination and production acts. DEMO is a methodology that does adhere to this notion; in addition, the use of DEMO also leads to a more precise definition of certai...
متن کاملErp and Workflow Systems
This paper discusses the strengths and weaknesses of ERP and WfM systems for the purpose of management and execution of business processes. WfM systems are based on an explicit model of business processes, and they facilitate business process management. However, it is not always easy to describe all exceptional situations in an explicit way. Therefore, WfM systems may become cumbersome. Moreov...
متن کاملA Combined Water Extract of Frankincense and Myrrh Alleviates Neuropathic Pain in Mice via Modulation of TRPV1
Frankincense and myrrh are widely used in clinics as a pair of herbs to obtain a synergistic effect for relieving pain. To illuminate the analgesia mechanism of frankincense and myrrh, we assessed its effect in a neuropathic pain mouse model. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) plays a crucial role in neuropathic pain and influences the plasticity of neuronal connectivity. We hypot...
